Christopher Kon

My latest handbag purchase is from the Kate Collection by Christopher Kon. I actually had a difficult time deciding which of his bags to buy; his colors are fabulous and the details are lovely! I chose the bag shown below for it's unique shape, though I wish the handles were attached in a more creative manner. Christopher Kon is a remarkable young designer with years of hands on experience!

Wow...what a surprise - this line was really great. I'm very sad to see it end; hopefully the designers will start again once the economy picks back up.

Diaperbag

You can find the diaperbag I designed at Giggle.com. The original proto had a flap that extended to the base of the bag; which I preferred - but it looks pretty good anyway. The diaperbag started it's life as the 'Ergo' but was later renamed before it hit the stores. I also designed the Via backpack which can be found at Buy Buy Baby. I don't recieve any proceeds for sales.... I am just acknowledging my work!

I am listing a few llinks for shoe-making resources. More to come in the future - so please stop back!

The Shoe school in Port Townsend, Washington offers shoe making workshops. There website offers links to all shoe-making needs.

See this website for shoe-making classes in New York City.

This site offers cad/cam software for shoe design

This website has free video clips on lasting shoes and also sells the book shown. The videos are clear and easy to follow - I have not purchased the book yet. If anyone owns it please let me know how it is....

Two great hangbag lines!

As I spend time 'shopping the market' for new styles, I often find designers that catch my eye. Two of my latest fav's are Katherine Kwei and 'George, Gina & Lucy'.

George, Gina and Lucy have found a way to incorporate structure, detail, and fabulous hardware with great colors and fresh silhouettes. I can't wait to see their line to develop further!

Katherine Kwei's line is just amazing! Must haves include the Isabel, Safira, and Donna.
